This gluten free afternoon tea is in a historic building near Westminster, in London called The Royal Horseguards Hotel. This hotel is 5 star and you feel the opulence when you walk in. Upon entering, there is a lavish lobby and you immediately feel a part of the upper class to be able to visit such an establishment! The afternoon tea caters to those with a gluten allergy, however unfortunately they could not cater for vegans. They provide a separate gluten free cake stand with gluten free treats such as sandwiches, tarts, scones and cakes. The portions are very generous and there is endless tea!

Nestled in the streets of Chelsea or Belgravia, if you’re looking for an Instagram worthy gluten free afternoon tea then you can’t go past the gluten free afternoon tea at Peggy Porschen. They offer a gluten friendly afternoon tea in their delightfully pink setting. They do advise that there could be the risk of cross contamination, and although they are careful, they do prepare and bake gluten and gluten free items in the same kitchen so bear this in mind. Do book ahead as this is one of the most popular cafes in London and with so much pink you can see why.

Inspired by the nearby science museum, The Ampersand Hotel has curated a science themed experience with interesting little food experiments, such as dusting off a chocolate fossil! They cater for all sorts of dietary requirements and have a separate gluten free menu here.

There is also a vegan afternoon tea menu for those who are vegan. It has a very generous serving of classic afternoon tea favourites, with a little twist inspired by the mad hatters themselves. The venue itself is thoughtfully decorated and presents a nice setting for an ambient afternoon tea.
